The real voyage of discovery

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes”
The above is one of my favorite quotes by a French author Marcel Proust.
As we’re still enduring the time of Pandemic, it’s not easy to travel far away, but I find Proust's words quite reassuring; indeed, we don’t have to go too far away, we can make a meaningful journey just by changing a mindset.
So today I took a bike and cycled around an old hometown where I grew up. Though I didn’t go too far at all, it was very refreshing. The cool autumn breeze was soothing, and on the way, I picked up a few chestnuts, which were an unexpected gift from nature.
