The joy of syrup making

While pandemic still has no signs of convergence, I had a lot of time to be with myself, especially during the state of emergency. It has also been a special experience to explore my inner mind when physical travel is not possible due to many restrictions.


In society, baking became a huge trend as many people stayed at home for a long time, and at one point, flour and pancake mixes were out of stock at supermarkets. In my case, I found joy in making syrups of various flavors. The syrup can be stored for a certain period of time, and I can enjoy variations by adding it to food and drinks. Especially the syrup made from rose petals had a wonderful aroma and taste. Also, the red perilla syrup is very refreshing and heals fatigue. I would like to continue researching syrup making using various herbs and ingredients.
