DIY Taiwan soul food: Rice Vermicelli
Several days ago when I was shopping at a local supermarket, I found rice vermicelli imported from Taiwan. I couldn’t help getting one because seeing it instantly reconnected me back to the memory in Taiwan. Here, Taiwanese vermicelli is usually a kind of specialty food, and it’s usually available only at imported grocery shops. It was a nice surprise because I never imagined that I could find it at a regular store. Coming back home, I cooked it into a famous traditional dish called “南瓜炒米粉”（fried pumpkin rice vermicelli）. I’d say the outcome was fairly successful for the first try.
