A snack from Nakasaki
Nagasaki in Kyushu prospered as a port of trade and has been a city where many Chinese immigrants have lived since ancient times. Therefore, its culture and local cuisine are heavily influenced by Chinese culture. The other day, I had the opportunity to have a Nagasaki's specialty snack named Yoriyori. Surprisingly it looked and tasted just like the Taiwanese Mahua roll. Both Yoriyori and Mahua roll look like twisted donuts, they are very hard on the texture.
